About the role
We're looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Growth Marketing, you'll own the day-to-day execution of our paid search, paid social and affiliate campaigns. You'll also keep our website sharp, compliant and conversion-ready, driving customer acquisition, engagement and revenue growth.
This is a hands-on, analytical role. You’ll be in the ad platforms daily, making decisions off performance data, testing relentlessly, and shipping the landing page and site changes that make those campaigns convert. Experience in a regulated industry such as financial services is highly desirable.
The Day-to-Day
- Manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns end to end, including search, PMax, display and YouTube, covering keyword research, ad copy, bidding, budget pacing and negative keyword hygiene.
- Manage and optimise paid social campaigns across Meta (and TikTok as we scale), including audience build-out, creative rotation, placements and budget allocation.
- Manage and optimise affiliate campaigns across aggregator websites..
- Define and evolve our prospecting audience strategy across search and social. Move beyond retargeting to build a repeatable approach for reaching new, in-market and lookalike audiences as spend scales.
- Own day-to-day website management and on-site conversion, publishing landing pages, updating campaign and product content, and making sure every ad has a page worth landing on.
- Design and run a continuous testing program across ad copy, creative, audiences, bidding strategies and landing pages, with clear hypotheses and readable results.
- Own conversion tracking and measurement integrity across pixels, conversion APIs, tags, events and attribution, working with Data to make sure what we report is what actually happened.
- Report on channel performance against CAC, ROAS and funded-account targets, with actionable recommendations rather than dashboards for their own sake.
- Support our affiliate and comparison-site partnerships, including aggregators such as Canstar, covering tracking setup, listing accuracy and partner performance.
- Run competitor, keyword and audience analysis to find new demand and inform campaign strategy.
- Partner with Marketing Managers across product lines to define creative requirements for each campaign, then brief the Creative and Content teams on the assets each channel needs, feeding performance insights back so the next round is better.
- Use AI-powered tools and workflows to speed up campaign build, creative iteration, reporting and analysis.
- Ensure all activity complies with platform policies, regulatory requirements and brand guidelines.
- Stay across platform changes, new formats and industry trends so we're early rather than late.
About you
- 5+ years hands-on in a performance or paid media role, with direct in-platform experience managing budgets.
- Demonstrable experience in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager. You've built, launched and optimised campaigns yourself.
- Solid understanding of performance fundamentals: conversion tracking, attribution, incrementality, funnel metrics and unit economics.
- Comfortable in analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel or similar, and confident pulling and interpreting your own numbers.
- Experience with a CMS such as WordPress, including content updates, landing page builds and basic HTML/CSS troubleshooting.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience or strong interest in using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to improve marketing workflows or generate insights.
- SEO knowledge is preferred but not essential.
- Nice to have: Some exposure to affiliate marketing or comparison and aggregator partnerships (Canstar, Finder, Mozo, RateCity or similar), including how listings, tracking and commission structures work.
- Nice to have: Awareness of emerging trends in LEO (LLM Engine Optimisation) and how AI is reshaping search and discovery
