Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
Own features end-to-end — from technical discovery and data modelling through to rollout, observability, and ongoing improvement
Build systems that support high-volume, real-time experiences across contact sharing, lead capture, analytics, and third-party integrations
Improve the reliability, performance, security, and testability of our backend platform
Make pragmatic architectural decisions, improve core abstractions, and reduce technical debt as the product scales
Collaborate closely with product, web, mobile, design, and data teams to turn ambiguous problems into simple, high-impact solutions
Contribute to code reviews, technical planning, and system design, helping other engineers do their best work
Use and help evolve AI-assisted engineering workflows that improve developer leverage without compromising quality
5+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems, ideally within fast-moving product or startup environments
Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including a solid understanding of asynchronous and event-driven architectures
Strong foundations in API design, data modelling, databases, distributed systems, and backend security
Experience designing reliable, observable services in a cloud environment; GCP experience is preferred
A track record of owning complex technical work from problem definition through to production
Strong product judgment and the ability to balance speed, scalability, quality, and customer impact
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to technical decision-making, code reviews, and mentoring
Curiosity about AI-native development and experience using AI tools to improve how you design, build, test, or operate software
