About the role
The Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring credit programmes to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.
We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to support our rapid growth. You'll oversee regulatory licence applications, structure complex commercial partnerships, and manage legal risks for product rollouts.

What you'll be doing
- Providing legal support and managing regulatory licence variations or new applications
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and marketing agreements
- Assisting with board and corporate governance matters
- Managing legal and regulatory issues for local and new expansion markets
- Consulting on compliance frameworks and structural requirements for the product pipeline
- Advising on data protection and privacy legal issues
- Monitoring changes to regulatory requirements and proactively handling regulatory developments
- Drafting and amending customer-facing documentation, including terms and conditions, product disclosure statements, and policies
- Advising on payment services and evolving regulatory frameworks
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience as a qualified lawyer and a current New Zealand practising certificate
- Experience working in private practice or in-house at a financial services organisation
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation, including the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act and the Financial Markets Conduct Act
- Expertise in retail banking and consumer law
- Excellent analytical skills combined with sound legal and business judgement
- A high degree of independence, initiative, and decisiveness
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
