Location
Most of our engineering team works from our HQ in Christchurch (NZ). We have smaller offices in co-working spaces in Sydney (AU) and Melbourne (AU) as well. We have many remote team mates, but candidates near established offices are advantaged.
What you'll be working on
As a Software Engineer at VXT, you will:
- Work across a range of technical challenges, from infrastructure, DevOps, and security, through to complex product features like billing and integrations.
- Identify, scope, and deliver product changes, including full-stack work when the project calls for it.
- Debug, monitor, and improve production systems.
- Write, update and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Contribute to team discussions and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate across teams to inform your work.

Who we're looking for
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure/IaC.
- Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to take initiative.
- Experience with TypeScript.
