Lumos

Advertising has long suffered from a fragmented view of how consumers move between the physical and digital world, and in APAC, the infrastructure to solve that is still catching up.

LUMOS is building that infrastructure. We're an AI-powered audience intelligence platform that unifies mobility, transaction, geospatial, and digital data into a single audience graph, helping media agencies, media owners, and brands plan, execute, and measure advertising across channels with confidence.

Trusted by leading marketers across APAC, we've built one of the largest independent audience ecosystems in the region. We're becoming embedded into how agencies and media owners trade media, shifting the industry from channel-based buying to AI-driven, audience-based decision making.

With a strong APAC foundation in place, we're now building toward international expansion, and we're growing the team to get there.

The Role

You'll be our first dedicated product hire. Working directly with our founders, you'll own the product process end-to-end, from strategy through to execution. This is a foundational role with a clear trajectory to Head of Product. Over the first 6–12 months you'll take full ownership of the product function and grow into leading it, owning the roadmap and cross-functional product strategy.

As that happens, our founders are freed to focus where they add the most value: strategic partnerships and commercial operations.

We're building toward becoming AI-native, and you'll help us get there. Your work will shape how clients interact with intelligence-powered audience insights, not just static dashboards. You'll touch every part of the business: product, engineering, design, sales, and client success.

Working closely with the founding team, you'll establish product processes, set prioritisation standards, and help us scale without losing the speed that got us here.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Direction

  • Partner with founders to develop and drive a cohesive product strategy aligned with the company vision
  • Manage competing workstreams across omni-channel, and AI-native products, including shared engineering capacity
  • Drive prioritisation using consistent frameworks and communicate trade-offs clearly to founders and stakeholders
  • Define and track product metrics to inform product decisions

Product Process & Execution

  • Own the product process end-to-end. Establish and run rituals, prioritisation processes, documentation, and collaboration with engineering and design
  • Write clear, actionable PRDs with functional requirements, north star metrics, and explicit acceptance criteria
  • Define new PM workflows for our AI-native product, including translating requirements into system prompts and evaluation frameworks
  • Build rapid prototypes via vibe coding to validate concepts and workflows, getting something testable in front of stakeholders without waiting on engineering or design

Client Discovery & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Own client discovery: run interviews, workshops, and direct client engagement to surface requirements and ensure engineering has the clarity it needs
  • Recognise when a client requirement is data-bound, meaning it needs investigation with the Data team before scope or timelines can be committed, and surface that complexity in the client conversation rather than after. Feature builds in a data product are bound by data coverage, quality, and methodology, and carrying that nuance well is part of the job
  • Champion AI-native product development by identifying opportunities to leverage LLMs, agents, and automation, while adapting product discovery, experimentation, and delivery processes to the unique challenges of generative AI products.

Design, Engineering & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with design, owning the SME context that designers need, providing functional requirements, product direction, and fast feedback loops
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure requirements are clear, reducing rework and mid-sprint scope changes
  • Work hand-in-hand with sales and operations, turning client and commercial needs into product priorities and keeping those teams aligned on what's shipping and when
  • Work directly with the CDO and Datalabs team to interrogate the data platform yourself, validate feasibility of proposed features, and ground product decisions in what our data can actually support

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 6+ years of PM experience, ideally in AdTech or data-intensive products
  • Ability to build rapid prototypes via vibe coding or no-code tooling to validate a concept or workflow quickly, getting something testable in front of stakeholders without waiting on engineering or design
  • Proven ability to hold a clear prioritisation view across competing workstreams, client commitments, and product-led initiatives
  • Experience working directly with enterprise clients or agencies, running discovery that surfaces the right requirements
  • Judgment to scope data-product features against the realities of data coverage, quality, and methodology, and the confidence to carry those constraints into client conversations
  • Strong understanding of the generative AI ecosystem, including foundation models, agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and emerging AI product patterns.
  • Evidence of continuous experimentation with AI technologies, demonstrated through shipped features, side projects, open-source contributions, or applied use cases.
  • Comfort being the only PM in the room, setting the standard rather than inheriting one
  • Self-starter who takes end-to-end ownership: builds the process, runs it, and improves it

Strong candidates may have:

  • Comfort working hands-on with data. You'll be onboarded onto our data platform by the CDO, and from there the ability to write SQL and interrogate production data yourself, rather than route every question through an analyst, is a strong advantage
  • Working knowledge of AdTech measurement concepts: reach, frequency, attribution, lift, and audience methodology, sufficient to challenge assumptions and shape product decisions
  • A past life as a data analyst or data engineer, having worked close to the data before moving into product
  • Experience in omni-channel media (incl OOH, display, social, programmatic)
  • Familiarity with generative AI product development, evaluation frameworks, and prompt engineering
  • Experience scaling a product function at a seed or Series A startup
  • Basic design literacy, comfortable enough to make sound layout and flow decisions at concept stage, with an understanding of where prototype fidelity ends and designer handoff begins

What It's Actually Like

  • You'll build from scratch. There's no inherited backlog or process to slot into. You'll define how product works at LUMOS: the rituals, the documentation standards, the prioritisation logic.
  • You'll work directly with the founders. Product strategy isn't handed down. You'll be in the room where decisions are made, expected to have a point of view and defend it. The founders are deeply engaged and will push back. That's a feature, not a bug.
  • You'll build, not just specify. When a concept needs validating, you won't wait for engineering or design to make it tangible. You'll vibe code a working prototype yourself.
  • You'll move fast and context-switch constantly. Client discovery, sprint planning, PRD writing, stakeholder alignment, sometimes all in the same day. Strong judgment about when to go deep and when to move on is essential.
  • The ceiling is high. This is a foundational role with a clear path to Head of Product for someone who wants it.

Why This Role Is Different

  • Meaningful Equity from Day One - As our first dedicated product hire, you'll receive a meaningful ESOP allocation. You'll help shape the company and product direction, and your ownership should reflect that impact.
  • Learn from Industry Leaders - Gain direct access to senior marketing, technology, and startup operators across our board, advisors, clients, and investor network—relationships and insights that are difficult to access elsewhere.
  • Help Shape Our Global Expansion - Play a hands-on role as LUMOS enters new markets across APAC and beyond, with opportunities to contribute to international growth initiatives and market exploration.
  • AI-Native by Design - We invest heavily in the latest AI tools, models, and experimentation workflows. You'll have the resources, autonomy, and token budget to prototype, validate, and ship quickly.
  • A Clear Path to Product Leadership - This isn't a PM role with a ceiling. As we scale, you'll have the opportunity to build the product function and grow into Head of Product, shaping both the team and product strategy.
