What you’ll do

You’ll join our Content Backend team to build and maintain the APIs and services that power both internal systems and customer-facing products at CORTO and LEAP. This is a hands-on senior role where you’ll own backend services in C#/.NET and lead the integration of AI capabilities into the platform – directly shaping how legal practitioners experience our products day to day. 

To make this happen you will

• Build and maintain backend services in C# and .NET that power our internal systems and customer-facing products 

• Design and evolve scalable APIs consumed by internal and external consumers 

• Integrate AI and LLM-powered capabilities into existing systems, working closely with our AI team 

• Build and deploy cloud-based solutions on AWS 

• Design and optimise MSSQL databases and the queries that hit them 

• Make sure the systems we build are performant, scalable, and maintainable in production 

• Partner with cross-functional teams – product, AI, frontend – to deliver clean, effective solutions 

• Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices

• Continuously improve the systems, processes, and code quality you touch 

What you’ll bring

You are an experienced developer who takes ownership and delivers high-quality solutions. In addition to that you will bring:

• 5+ years of strong, hands-on experience with .NET / C#
• Proven track record building and maintaining RESTful APIs in ASP.NET Web API used by multiple consumers 
• Solid grasp of SOLID principles and clean architecture – and the judgement to know when to apply them 
• Strong experience with MSSQL Server (or equivalent) – schema design, optimisation, and writing performant queries 
• Hands-on experience working with AWS  
• Experience integrating AI / LLM-based services into real products 
• Sound understanding of scalable system design and performance optimisation
