As a key member of our People & Culture team, and a trusted partner to our studio, you’ll be the driving force behind the daily employee lifecycle. You’ll own the end-to-end experience, ensuring every touchpoint—from the first hello to the final goodbye—is friendly, professional, seamless, and uniquely PikPok.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partnering with Purpose: Acting as a trusted advisor to our people, providing guidance on everything from performance to wellbeing and studio culture.
  • Owning the Lifecycle: Managing the "heavy lifting" of P&C—contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and all the vital documentation in between.
  • Driving PX Projects: Collaborating with the P&C Director and the team on strategic and operational initiatives that keep our studio humming and our people engaged.
  • Staying Tech-Forward: Using data and tools to optimise and automate our processes to improve the employee experience and elevate our work.

Who You Are:

  • An experienced people professional: You’re equally comfortable handling high-level strategic partnering and the essential administration that supports an ever-evolving, agile workforce.
  • Commercial yet empathetic & kind: you approach your work with a people-first mindset, building genuine relationships across the studio, while balancing commercial realities.
  • A relentless pursuer of excellence: You don't just "do" HR; you strive to make it better, clearer, and more impactful.
  • Culturally aligned: You’re genuinely curious, collaborative, and ready to take ownership in a safe, supportive, and fun workplace.

Skills/Experience:

You have 5–10 years of solid experience in P&C generalist roles, mostly in the private sector, in small to mid-sized creative/tech founder-led startups or high-growth businesses.

In-depth experiences leading successful, contemporary P&C initiatives and change projects

You are a gifted writer and a clear verbal communicator. You can move between a casual chat and a formal document with ease.

Strong competency in managing complex ER situations while building strong, trusted relationships with staff and colleagues

You lead with kindness. People feel safe coming to you, and you handle sensitive challenges with grace and maturity.

You love finding better ways to do things using tech. You see the HRIS as a tool for empowerment, not just a database.

You prefer the Wellington in-office vibe. While we can be flexible on hours, you prefer being "in the room" most days to truly connect with the team.
