About the role:

The Carrier Sourcing & Partnerships Manager at Ofload brings a strategic lens to our carrier network. This role is responsible for managing carrier relationships and performance, driving commercial outcomes, and ensuring our network is robust, scalable, and competitive. The ideal candidate combines operational rigor, strong commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of carrier networks, relationships, and market pricing dynamics.

You will stabilise and optimise our existing carrier network through structured engagement and rigorous performance management across commercial and operational disciplines. You will also source and onboard new carrier partners to support growth and diversification, contribute to pricing decisions for new opportunities, and drive margin improvement across existing accounts.

This role is critical to ensuring Ofload continues to attract more shippers by maintaining a competitive, scalable, and high-performing network.

Success in this role depends on your ability to retain, grow, and continuously optimise our carrier network, while building strong, mutually beneficial relationships that enhance our service offering and market position.

What you’ll do:

  • Carrier Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with carriers, aligning on performance, pricing, and service standards to drive retention, satisfaction, and network reliability.
  • Carrier Sourcing & Onboarding: Identify, negotiate with, and onboard new carriers to expand network capability, improve coverage, and strengthen our service offering.
  • Network Development: Continuously optimise the carrier network for cost, service, and efficiency, aligned to customer needs and business objectives.
  • Pricing & Solutions Support: Support the pricing team for prospective customers, ensuring alignment with network capability and commercial targets.
  • Margin Performance: Contribute to minimising variance between priced and actual margins by improving inputs, assumptions, and carrier selection.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Growth teams to align on network strategy, carrier capability, and customer requirements.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to carrier performance, onboarding, network capability, and pricing outcomes. 

About You:

  • Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of linehaul, middle-mile, and last-mile logistics.
  • Negotiation & Relationship Management: Proven ability to source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to deliver long-term value.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Effective communicator with ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and plan for future growth.
  • Analytical & Commercial Acumen: Strong numeracy and ability to interpret data to inform pricing and commercial decisions.
