Wonky Box started with a simple idea: rescue the fruit and veg that others overlooked and get it into Kiwi kitchens.

Since then, we’ve rescued millions of kilos of produce, supported local growers, and built a loyal community fighting food waste one box at a time.

Now we’re building something bigger.

With Good Groceries by Wonky, Farmers Meat Boxes, the Refillery, Pantry, Flowers and more, we’re evolving into Aotearoa’s go-to name for conscious convenience.

We’re looking for a commercially sharp, data-driven growth leader who can:

• Turn big ideas into measurable growth
• Obsess over conversion, retention and AOV
• Build and execute campaigns that scale
• Balance performance marketing with purposeful storytelling
• Push us further and faster without losing what makes Wonky, Wonky

Key Responsibilities
1. Growth & Commercial Direction
  • Take ownership of marketing performance and results (P&L ownership & accountability)

  • Plan and forecast the impact of campaigns

  • Build a clear growth plan aligned with company goals

  • Spot and develop new opportunities for revenue growth

2. Performance Marketing
  • Lead paid marketing across key channels (Meta, Google, and others)

  • Continuously improve how we turn visitors into customers

  • Test and refine current and new marketing channels

  • Continuous improvement of acquisition efficiency

3. Customer Engagement & Retention
  • Build smarter email & SMS strategy (segmentation, triggered, behavioral)

  • Strengthen onboarding and welcome experiences

  • Re-engage past customers

  • Improve long-term customer loyalty

4. Growing the Basket & Category Expansion

Support growth across:

  • Core Produce Boxes

  • Farmers Meat Boxes ('meat without the mystery')

  • Refillery ('refill your pantry, not your bin')

  • Wonky Pantry

  • Flowers

  • Fridge Fillers

Help customers discover more of what Wonky Box offers and increase overall value per customer.

5. Campaign Leadership
  • Lead standout seasonal and brand campaigns

  • Launch new categories and initiatives

  • Develop partnerships and referral ideas

  • Support PR-worthy storytelling moments

6. Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Guide the content team with clear direction

  • Brief creatives with both brand and performance in mind

  • Work closely with operations, buying and finance to align growth with delivery
