The Role 

We’re looking for a Strategic Client Partner gun to join us at Ideally to manage our top tier FMCG customers. Someone who has a love and curiosity for helping customers achieve their goals, and the strategic experience to guide and grow their businesses. 

You’ll be joining a talented Customer team of strategic client partners and customer success managers, working to help customers grow their ideas and bring them to life. We partner with some of the most revered people in the industry, they believe in what we are doing and are willing to talk about it. 

As a Strategic Client Partner at Ideally, you’ll be responsible for onboarding new strategic clients (this role is focused on the FMCG space), spotting and driving upsell opportunities, managing renewals, as well as ongoing account management. 

You’ll have a curious mind for marketing, jump in to build a thriving community within the ideas and innovation world, including supporting events, content, creative customer touch points, as well as collaborating closely with our Sales, Research and Client Partner teams to drive success for our customers.

What You Bring

You bring a strategic mindset, executive presence, a strong sales instinct, and natural networking skills. You are innately curious, thrive in high growth environments, and know how to build, scale, and deepen enterprise relationships. Not afraid to get into the nitty gritty where necessary, it’s essential you can manage competing priorities without getting overwhelmed and know how to tune out the noise without dropping the ball.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • 10+ years in research agency, marketing or insights roles, ideally with sales or partnerships responsibility 

  • Strategic expertise - you have worked within or alongside large organisations

  • Experience working with FMCG businesses, and a strong understanding of the NPD process 

  • Proven ability to work autonomously in high-performing commercial teams, with a bias for clarity, structure, and accountability

Your Responsibilities
  • Own Strategic Relationships – Build deep, trusted partnerships with our top-tier FMCG customers. These are the customers we’ve identified as $200K+ opportunity accounts, often with a global footprint we want to unlock. You’ll be the go-to for decision makers who see insights as essential to how they build, innovate, and grow, but who may be reluctant to open up access internally. You’ll need to navigate large business processes and procurement and successfully drive change management within these businesses. 

  • Lead Seamless Onboarding – Ensure new clients experience a smooth, high-value transition onto the platform, helping them unlock their full potential for innovation, product development, and marketing.

  • Drive Growth & Expansion – Deliver on monthly expansion revenue targets. Spot real opportunities to grow accounts by aligning Ideally to business strategy — not just filling a need, but unlocking new ways of thinking. Protect renewal revenue via ensuring Ideally is embedded and integral to our customers growth and innovation. 

  • Lead with Insight – Act as a strategic advisor on the role of consumer understanding. You’ll bring a point of view on why insight matters — and how to make it matter in big, complex organisations.

  • Foster Engagement & Thought Leadership – Help shape and execute initiatives that empower customers, from content creation and community-building to customer events and strategic activations that create “wow” moments.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer, and Research to elevate account performance. You’ll help shape playbooks, co-pitch solutions, and strengthen multi-threaded relationships.

  • Shape the Conversation – Contribute to marketing, content, and events. You’ll bring a strong perspective and start to build your own profile as a thought leader in the space.

You’ll need to know where to push, where to wait, and how to win trust at every level - always considering how you serve your customer partner in the best possible way.
