Auror

At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to tackle theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.

Founded in New Zealand 11 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good.

In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.

We're also embracing the potential of AI to supercharge our impact, whether that's enhancing the way we detect trends, support our customers, or improve internal workflows. As a company, we're committed to responsibly incorporating AI into how we work and what we build, and we encourage all Aurors to be curious about how AI can elevate their work, regardless of role or function.

The Role

As a Workplace IT Specialist at Auror based in our Auckland office, you’ll help power our people and technology, keeping our global team connected, secure, and productive every day. You’ll be hands-on with everything from troubleshooting hardware and software issues to implementing smart, scalable systems that make life easier for everyone at Auror.

Working closely with our Global Workplace IT Lead, you’ll improve our IT operations, roll out new technologies, and help shape the way we support our people across the world. This is a role where your technical expertise and proactive approach will make a visible difference, every single day.

Due to the nature of the role, you will also be required to be in-office 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday). There will however be some flexibility where needed.

Practically, what you’ll do:

  • Be the go-to person for on-site support, while helping our global team with remote troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and SaaS application issues (think Google Workspace, Microsoft Intune, Slack, and beyond).
  • Administer and optimise enterprise tools like Intune, Google Workspace, and Azure/Entra ID.
  • Maintain our physical and virtual tech environments, from laptops and AV setups to networking and cloud systems (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Intune, Slack).
  • Manage our hardware and software inventory, keeping everything secure, tracked, and well-documented.
  • Own onboarding and offboarding, ensuring every Auror starts and finishes strong with the right tools and access and that they have the best workplace IT experience.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver reliable solutions that support productivity and security.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects, introducing smarter technologies and better processes.
  • Champion AI-driven efficiencies in IT workflows, helping the team experiment, learn, and adapt.
  • Keep our documentation sharp and accessible, making it easy for others to follow best practices.
