The Salesforce Engineer at Athena is part of a squad with a well-defined mission and ships high quality code and solutions to the challenges of helping customers reach their financial independence more quickly.
While this role is a Salesforce Engineer role, a candidate with additional secondary experience building backend services using Node.js and typescript in AWS is desired.
Key responsibilities
- Designing and implementing software solutions.
- Testing the stability and functionality of the application.
- Reviewing and collaborating with others on internal and cross-team technical proposals.
- Performing configuration and customization of the Salesforce platform.
- Collaborating to out our API layer using a micro-services architecture and components on public cloud infrastructure.
- Continuously increasing efficiency and quality of the team through tooling and experimentation.
- Collaborating with everyone in an open and constructive way.
- Operating the platform products offered by the team.
- Production support the Salesforce platform as well as across AWS services with support from other team members
About You
- You’re an early adopter who enjoys experimenting with emerging tools and technologies, and you’re eager to harness AI-driven development.
- You’re a skilled engineer with high standards, a passion for quality, and experience developing with APEX and Lightning Components.
- You’re adaptable and quick to learn new languages when needed.
- You have experience with web service technologies (REST / SOAP / GQL, JSON / XML, etc).
- You can build or are keen to upskill in backend services using Node.js, Typescript, and AWS.
- You have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and can identify root causes to drive effective solutions.
- You collaborate well with software engineers, product owners, and IT teams to deliver practical outcomes.
- You communicate clearly and confidently and thrive in an Agile, fast-paced DevOps environment.
- You’re a team player with a can-do attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
