We're growing our self-help team, and a big part is finding an Intermediate Technical Communicator who can help design and deliver the next level in self-help content for the IDEXX Veterinary Software suite of applications.
The role has an important focus on building relationship working closely with Product Managers, customer facing teams, (Support & Implementation) and other internal teams such as Partnerships, Sales, and Marketing.

Here in Auckland, we develop a number of cloud platforms and applications. We’re building a vertical SaaS platform for animal health that requires significant technical expertise to deliver. Solutions for practice management (PIMS), diagnostics, payments, client engagement, analytics & insight plus many more. So what are we looking for?
Make and maintain customer self-help content for IDEXX veterinary software products
Make and maintain staff documentation and self-help content for cross-team use
Form close relationships with Support, Development, Implementation, Sales, and Marketing, departments
Interview customers and staff to measure the impact of content on customer satisfaction and business goals
Regularly assess content development practices and published work to continuously improve skills
Convert legacy documentation to new content systems
What you will bring:
A problem-solving, customer-centric mindset
Experience in a technical communicator position or equivalent
Great technical aptitude combined with excellent practical experience of plain English
Experience with markup languages (preferred)
Experience with structured authoring (preferred but not essential)
Good proficiency with image editing apps
Good understanding of headless content delivery (preferred but not essential)
Enthusiasm and drive, and delivery of great results
Efficient balancing of a variety of tasks
