The opportunity

As an experienced product designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Kami’s UX and UI that millions of educators and students around the world use every day. The ideal candidates will possess a strong mix of creativity, problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and a desire to gain a deep understanding of how users interact with Kami.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the design and iteration of Kami's web-based app UI/UX, creating wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes, delivering thoughtful designs and experiences that delight users
  • Partner with our product and engineering teams to identify and implement groundbreaking solutions that balance user needs, business constraints, and technological realities.
  • Harness user insights, analytics, and industry trends to guide informed design decisions
  • Spearhead user research and usability testing, using data and feedback to continually optimise our designs and refine our understanding of user behaviour and needs.
  • Foster collaboration across disciplines, working with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to address complex challenges with innovative design solutions.
  • Push for continuous improvement and innovation in our design approach, staying on the pulse of our competitive landscape, best practices, and emerging technologies.

What you’ll bring

  • 7+ years of UI/UX design experience with digital products or services
  • A standout portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of UI and UX design principles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other industry tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Proven adaptability in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and excellent task management skills.
  • A track record of pushing design boundaries and innovating.
  • Cultural awareness and global perspective in design.
  • Proficiency in prioritising tasks and communicating priorities.
  • Receptive to feedback and opportunities for growth.
  • Flexibility and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
