We’re looking for a sharp, energetic Video Content Producer who’s equal parts creative storyteller and action taker. You know the type: the kind of person who loves turning a rough idea for a concept into a full-blown piece of content, and genuinely getting things done to turn it around. You move fast, think big and care about the details.
Whether you’re fresh out of uni with some killer projects under your belt, have a Youtube channel on the side, or you’ve already spent a year or two crafting scroll-stopping videos, we want someone who’s hungry to learn, eager to experiment and comfortable getting stuck in.
We’re creating this role because we get asked the same question: “How are other farmers using Halter?” - that’s where you come in. There’s no better way to show the impact of Halter than through real farmer stories told in an honest, crafty and compelling way.
We need someone who can shine a light on these stories, capturing how Halter is being used on-farm and helping others imagine what’s possible on theirs.
You’ll be heading out to farms across the country (and sometimes Australia too!) - setting up shoots, filming interviews, getting b-roll, then editing everything into short and long-form content for both organic and paid channels. And it’s not just about pointing a camera - you’ll also need to guide farmers who aren’t used to being filmed.
You’ll help them get comfortable, open up and tell their story confidently.
You'll be responsible for:
- Collaborating on creative direction and execution working closely with the wider Halter team to shape story angles, suggest new content ideas and bring creative projects to life. You’ll have ideas on how to make our video content stand out in a saturated social media environment.
- Planning and coordinating on-farm shoots, including loose run sheets, interview prep and gear (e.g. DSLR, Go Pro).
- Building rapport with farmers and our team so they can feel comfortable on camera. You’ll dig into their challenges and wins to create authentic, useful stories that resonate with other farmers.
- Filming footage on-farm, for case study, vlog-style and tutorial videos.
- Editing both long-form videos for Youtube and short-form content for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, from footage you’ve shot and footage from our team.
- Storytelling to turn raw footage into clear, engaging narrative with strong hooks.
- Publishing your creations by crafting thumbnails, titles and captions that work for different platforms
- Jumping on other creative tasks like filming our events or setting up for a video webinar.
- Bring trends and always on the pulse of new content and audience ideas. Constant test and learn mentality.
You’ll also have access to some pretty cool kit. A RED Digital Dragon with Canon Cine EF lenses, Go Pro 12 Black, DJI Drone, Canon EOS R5. It’ll be a bonus if you know how to use these, but not necessary.
