- Energy Marketplace: We help businesses find below market prices on their energy and streamline the switching and billing process while helping energy retailers reach more customers.
- Business Intelligence and Modelling Tools: Our reporting tools help businesses track everything from cost and emissions to energy upgrades.
Termina is looking for a Sales/Business Development star to bring new business across Australia to help small businesses save on their energy costs (and hopefully their emissions too).
The beauty of this role is it will give you experience closing deals, while also having a $120k+ salary including commission for OTE.
What you'll do
- Work closely with one of our co-founders/head of sales to execute outbound experiments on targeted accounts and take deals from first touch to close
- Push for continuous improvement on outreach execution
- Leverage email and cold calling, as well as intent signals to reach out to relevant prospects at the right time with the right message
- Qualify leads based on criteria that the team has aligned on
- Set up monthly targeted volume of demos with highly targeted and relevant leads that fit our ideal customer profile (ICP)
- Document learnings to share with the broader team to improve overarching strategy
- Inform the optimisation of our sales playbook that will drive processes for the growth of the team
- Generate and leverage data in our customer relationship management (CRM) platform, that will help inform future analysis for better prospecting and personalised approaches
- Prospecting customers using LinkedIn, Lusha, Job Boards, business/ops/procurement communities, and other tools. You can leverage our offshore team for data collection and prospecting.
- Identify the biggest, baddest pain point a lead has - we can’t sell to someone who doesn’t have any pain
- Hit monthly quotas of sourced qualified opportunities

- Deal Closer: You thrive hustling to secure a call, anticipating objections, and maintain momentum to drive deals to the finish line.
- Get sh#t done: You have a strong bias to action with a track record of achieving results in fast paced and uncertain environments.
- Strategic Thinker: You can get into the weeds but always track the bigger picture. You have experience building and then executing on a 6-12 month plan.
- Analytical Approach: You know your way around a spreadsheet and are confident diving into the data to better understand an opportunity.

Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a related role.
- Understanding of the Energy, SaaS, or Technology industry is highly desired.
- Exceptional sales and communication skills.
- Startup/high growth experience is a plus.
