We are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in executing and driving commercial performance for the business. You will play a critical role in supporting our business units by providing financial analysis, insights, and strategic decision-making recommendations. This position will involve working closely with the CFO, CEO, Board and various departments including sales, marketing, and operations executives.
This will be a mostly remote role, with some days in the Melbourne office to connect with the broader Finance team ideal however we will consider interstate candidates.

Role Overview
As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will take full ownership for the strategic delivery of business results. The Commercial Finance Manager has primary day-to-day responsibility for supporting business strategies to add value beyond finance across a broad range of stakeholders and providing leadership to the Finance Analyst. The key success factor will be your ability to partner with the business to deliver insights, support growth strategies and report on key results and improvements.
This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone with impeccable presentation skills who can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the CFO and working in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, your key responsibilities will include
- Collaborate with senior leadership to design and execute a commercial strategy that drives long-term revenue growth and strengthens our market position;
- Act as a true partner to the CFO to support business strategies and financial direction;
- Present key business information and data in a concise but meaningful manner;
- Collaborate with the CFO on presentations including board reports and investor reporting;
- Oversee the forecasting and budgeting cycle, ensuring financial plans are well-structured, forward thinking and reflect commercial priorities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to review pricing strategies and model different market scenarios, business opportunities, ensuring informed decision making;
- Provide data-driven insights into the business that helps improve accountability and efficiency;
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide advice and support that drives the business strategy
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role.
- Strong financial modelling and data analysis skills.
- Competency in interpreting financial data and generating strategic insights.
- Strong financial presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Think-cell) to convey financial narratives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial information.
- Advanced Excel skills (including complex formulae, scenario analysis, and automation).
- Experience with Salesforce, SQL, or Snowflake or similar a bonus
- Experience in SaaS and/or eCommerce
