About the Role

As Catalyst continues to grow, we are seeking a collaborative, resourceful and forward-thinking Business Development Manager to join our Wellington or Auckland office. In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Build authentic relationships with new and existing clients through effective communication and genuine collaboration.
     
  • Identify and nurture new business opportunities while working hand-in-hand with service delivery and marketing teams.
     
  • Develop strategic partnerships that translate to growth and create win-win solutions for our clients and our business.

About You

You are someone who brings not only experience in business development but is someone who loves to connect with new people, build relationships and help identify opportunities where we may be able to help businesses solve problems. For us it really is about finding the right person for this role rather than the most comprehensive CV! Ideally your background includes:

  • A track record of converting opportunities into successful outcomes while engaging customers thoughtfully and empathetically.
     
  • A natural ability to listen and connect with new people, understand high-level client requirements and work with teams to transform these insights into compelling solution options.
     
  • Experience responding to proposals and the ability to communicate in a professional and compelling way.
     
  • We are an open source software company and we are interested in someone who is keen to learn more about this topic and who will then bring enthusiasm to communicate its unique benefits in a compelling and relatable manner"
