This role is based in-person at our office in sunny Brisbane, Australia.

About the role

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our product team and help us build a world class end to end research platform. We're passionate about new technologies and have the stack to prove it.

You'll be working with a stack that includes GraphQL, React, TypeScript, NextJS and TailwindCSS to mention a few.

What you’ll do

• Work across both the front end and back end to create not only functional but beautiful solutions, aligned with our way of working.
• Regularly engaging with our product designers, contributing ideas, and ensuring “pixel-perfect” implementation of our interface designs.
• Contributing to the Product team confidently in a way that embodies Askable's values and culture.
• Building and testing your code time after time, whether it be for bugs or brand new solutions. Your attention to detail ensures robust, reliable implementations.
• Keeping the team informed about emerging technologies and trends in the market, positioning us at the cutting edge of industry innovation.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Become a technical expert on our product, understanding every aspect from front to back once you're up to speed.

Skills and experience you’ll bring

To hit the ground running in this role you’ll need at least 5 years experience working as a product designer in a SaaS or tech environment with:

• A passion for new and emerging tech
• an eagerness to jump in and get stuff done
• And ideally, a keen interest in research and design

The mindset you’ll need

• Winning with your team: You’ll be proud of the individual work you do, but find winning as team ultimately more fulfilling. This includes having the emotional maturity to give and receive constructive feedback to better the team as a whole.
• Independence and curiosity: You won’t find cabinets full of step by step instructions at Askable. You’ll need to think on your feet, manage your own workflow, problem-solve roadblocks, proactively ask questions, and take responsibility for the goals you set.

• Quick to learn: You’ll bring an ability to quickly learn and understand our product solutions and features, and keep up to date as our offerings evolve.
