The People and Culture Partner will be a key part of our business, ensuring our people and culture strategies align with our goals while maintaining a well-organised and productive office environment. This role requires someone with strong HR experience and deep knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation.
You will proactively support managers and employees while also handling office-related duties to support day-to-day operations.
What you'll do
People & HR Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand employment laws and provide guidance on employment relations (ER) matters.
- Support managers with performance management, employee engagement, and development strategies.
- Assist with talent acquisition and onboarding to create a seamless employee experience.
- Use people data and insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Employee Experience & Culture
- Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
- Lead employee life cycle activities from onboarding, engagement, talent management, performance management, offboarding and everything in between.
- Develop and support initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and team collaboration.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, proactively recommending new ways to enhance our people and culture approach
What you'll bring
- Experienced HR advisor with solid foundations: you bring broad HR generalist experience and strong knowledge of New Zealand employment law, confidently managing the full employee life cycle with professionalism and care.
- Trusted partner to the business: you proactively support the business on people-related matters, building credibility through sound advice, consistency, and a deep understanding of their challenges.
- Strong relationship skills: you connect easily with others and can flex your style to establish effective relationships. You lead with emotional intelligence and accountability.
- Disposition to work and execute fast, without compromising on quality. You have a bias for action, and don’t sit around waiting to be told what to do.
- Business acumen: you understand the nature and interdependencies of business functions and supporting processes. You can connect the dots with what’s happening in our business and industry, to maximise results.
- Analytical thinking: you’re proficient in utilising data and metrics to drive informed decision-making and optimise recruitment processes.
