The SME & Growth Business team at Airwallex is a passionate group of collaborators and business champions dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to thrive in the global economy. What you’ll do
Airwallex is looking for team members to join our high-performing, Inside Sales Specialist team. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end management of small business leads who want to sign up to our platform. Your duties will include contacting customers leads, collecting key information we need, and closing the sale. Additionally, you will work closely with stakeholders in the business to help optimise our workflow, onboarding of new clients, compliance and provide insights to our Growth team.
This role is based in Auckland.

You love sales – you need to be driven to achieve KPIs
You are focused on great customer experience – when you get a support inquiry, you will want to get it resolved as soon as possible in the best way to ensure a great customer experience
You are a great communicator on the phone and via email – you can provide information verbally and in a collaborative fashion with great customer rapport
You are a great team player – you’ll be working with people across diverse global offices and will need to work collaboratively with them
Responsibilities
You are used to delivering value in complex situations and are energised by learning about new and existing products
You enjoy articulating Airwallex’s value proposition and demonstrate curiosity in learning about our products and customer pain points
Develop relationships with prospects to uncover needs through effective questioning to qualify interest and viability
Update activity and contact information within the CRM system and support reporting efforts
Collaborate and provide feedback and insights to cross-functional teams, including Marketing to help improve targeting and messaging
Minimum qualifications
1-2+ years’ track record of success in sales
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong interest in technology and/or financial services
Self-starter who can operate in a hyper-growth environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Start-up & fintech experience preferred
