About the role

Reporting to our Marketing Director and collaborating closely with our Community team, this role is all about impact: helping more developers, make more games—more easily!

As our Marketing Manager, you’ll take ownership of our email marketing strategy and serve as our Shopify specialist, as well as assisting the Marketing Director with ad hoc marketing activities as required. 

You’ll set up and optimize email communications for product launches, campaigns, and ongoing engagement—leveraging your skills in email marketing software, copywriting, and analytics to deliver results through effective communication with our game developer customers. You’ll also ensure our email marketing follows industry policies and best practices, and be focused on best in class execution. 

Beyond email, you’ll be our Shopify specialist, managing product updates and promotions while troubleshooting and optimizing the Synty Store for a seamless customer experience.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Manage Klaviyo to engage, retain, and nurture customers throughout their journey. Set up and optimize email marketing campaigns, including product launches, automated flows, and business as usual activity. Working closely with our Marketing Director to align campaigns with the broader marketing strategy.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor and analyze the performance of email campaigns, and derive actionable insights. Work with the Marketing Director to refine strategies based on performance metrics.
  • Run A/B tests on email campaigns to improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Utilize Klaviyo and Shopify analytics to develop insights and provide regular reports on campaign effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with the Community team to ensure cohesive messaging across all activities.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in email marketing, specifically within the gaming and asset publisher spaces.
  • Become our Shopify specialist, responsible for:
    • Product Updates: Regularly upload and update products, including new launches, managing changes and optimisations made to the store
    • Sales & Promotions: Adjust and optimize the store for promotional campaigns, sales or marketing events (e.g., Black Friday)
    • Bug Fixes & Updates: Regularly check for software updates or issues on the store, apps, or integrations, and fix them promptly, asking for assistance when needed.

Professional requirements:

  • 4+ years professional experience in marketing focused roles
  • Can showcase experience building email campaigns that deliver great results
  • Have excellent problem solving and time management skills, where you’re able to prioritise your time effectively 
  • Have strong work ethics, good communication skills and a collaborative spirit for working within a marketing team
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment 

Technical requirements:

  • Have experience with ideally Klaviyo, or equivalent email software
  • You enjoy and have experience in copywriting 
  • You’re comfortable using data analysis and reporting to optimise
  • Are familiar with or are willing to learn the technical elements of Shopify 

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in video games or within a subscription product environment
  • Experience with paid advertising on Google, Meta and/or Reddit would be considered a bonus
