Fuel50

Fuel50 is scaling fast, and we’re looking for a high-calibre, strategic CFOO to help drive our next phase of growth. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial, operational, and strategic direction of the company.

Reporting directly to the President, you will lead Finance, HR, Privacy & Security, IT, and Legal, ensuring we have the structure, governance, and commercial insights needed to fuel sustainable growth and global expansion.

This is not just a finance role—it’s a critical business leadership position where you’ll contribute to company strategy, drive financial performance, and lead key initiatives that optimise operations, enhance scalability, and ensure long-term success.

You will work closely with the CEO, C-Suite, Board, and wider leadership team, ensuring Fuel50 remains at the forefront of the SaaS industry. The ability to translate strategy into action, optimise performance, and navigate complex global markets is key.

We’re looking for a seasoned executive with a strong track record in SaaS, private equity, or venture-backed businesses, who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You’ll need to be both commercially astute and operationally hands-on, balancing strategic acumen with financial discipline to ensure we scale efficiently while maintaining a culture of innovation and agility.

At Fuel50, we are redefining the future of work. If you’re a bold, dynamic leader who loves solving complex challenges, shaping strategy, and making a real impact at all levels of the business, we’d love to talk.

Requirements
  • Senior Leadership Experience – Proven track record in a CFO, COO, or CFOO role within a SaaS, private equity, or venture-backed business.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen – Ability to contribute to company strategy, drive financial performance, and optimise for scalability and growth.
  • SaaS & Financial Expertise – Strong knowledge of SaaS metrics, revenue models, and financial reporting (NZ IFRS, US GAAP experience preferred).
  • Global Business Knowledge – Experience operating across international markets (NZ, US, UK) with an understanding of global compliance and risk management.
  • People & Culture Focus – Strong leadership skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams and fostering a great workplace culture.
  •  Process & Efficiency Mindset – Passion for optimising business processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Executive Presence & Influence – Comfortable engaging with Board members, C-suite executives, and key stakeholders, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Hands-On & Agile – Willing to dive into the detail when needed while keeping a strategic lens on the bigger picture.
