We’re looking for a Platform Lead to head up our group of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers, providing strong technical, people and process leadership for the team.
What you will do
- Lead, manage and support EP’s DevOps/SRE group and create a safe and inclusive environment for the team
- Collaborate across teams and functions to help define our architecture and our technical strategy and roadmap
- Own the end-to-end availability, reliability, security and performance of EPs platforms
- Develop automation, observability and processes to keep EP highly available, scalable and resilient
- Maintain and enhance EP's build and deployment processes to increase engineering productivity and product quality
- Ensure cost-effective use of third party providers, such as AWS
- Design and own security controls to ensure EP adheres to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR
- Educate and empower software engineers to think operationally when designing services and to operate what they build
About you
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing and operating cloud software at scale
- 5+ years in a DevOps or SRE role, preferably on AWS
- Experience with technical leadership and people management, including the ability to mentor and support other engineers and align engineering work with high-level organisational goals
- Deep understanding of cloud design patterns, cloud operations, security and cost models – with hands-on ability to implement best practices and drive improvements
- Ability to manage risk, ambiguity, dependencies and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience working with distributed teams in global engineering organisations
- Familiarity with our tech stack is an advantage, but not a requirement: C#, TypeScript, React, Kafka and Terraform on AWS. We also use Cloudflare, GitHub Actions, New Relic, Wiz and a variety of other tools.
