The Role
We're looking for an experienced P&C Advisor to cover a period of parental leave of approximately 12-14 months. As our P&C Advisor, you'll perform a nimble, hands-on, generalist role supporting our growth and global operational changes and challenges. You'll primarily work with client groups and leaders based in Melbourne, across our Sales, Marketing, Client Service and Finance teams. In this truly generalist role, you'll provide expert people advice, coach managers, support business change, P&C projects and initiatives and our BAU cyclical activities.
This role is full-time, and we work hybrid between home and our swish office in Collins Square, 727 Collins Street, Melbourne. While the geographical remit for this role is predominantly Australia, we are a global business and need to be flexible at times to cross over with our team and stakeholders outside Australia.
As our People & Culture Advisor, your key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Providing timely generalist, hands-on HR advice and supporting to stakeholders at all levels across the employee lifecycle and partner closely with key client groups
- Acting as a coach for leaders and assisting in interpreting and applying relevant employment legislation, contracts and Pepperstone policies across Australia, the Philippines and Malaysia
- Anticipating and preventing potential employee relations risks incl. by gathering and monitoring data to share with leaders
- Undertaking proactive research to offer potential solutions to business and manager needs or challenges e.g. creating manager guides, highlighting topical industry trends and actions, etc.
- Ensuring a high level of confidentiality and record accurate and timely data and documentation
- Reviewing, refreshing, creating quality and accurate written documentation including policies, letter/guide templates, manager resources, reports, Slack and social media posts, etc. as required
- Facilitating and presenting information sessions to team members as required
- Coordinating global cyclical P&C processes such as performance, remuneration, engagement with support from the Senior P&C Lead
- Undertaking initiatives or ad hoc projects which progress the P&C function, Pepperstone brand or employee experience (incl. local Melbourne events)
About you
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, incl. previous advisory experience in results-oriented and fast-paced environments
- Strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to establish rapport quickly, present information and influence stakeholders
- Strong project management skills to help drive a number of P&C projects, incl. technology implementations and/or uplifts
- Attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality even in busy times
- Ability to be proactive, hands-on, effectively solve problems and use good judgment in balancing employee advocacy and commercial outcomes
- Experience in proactively suggesting and implementing improvements, both within P&C and for the overall employee experience
- Ability to manage changing priorities quickly, work amongst ambiguity and switch contexts in a fast-paced environment
