Founded in 2018, VeVe was created by collectors for collectors, to bring premium licensed digital collectibles to the mass market from leading brands including Disney, Marvel, Lucas Film, DC Comics, Pixar, Back to the Future and more.

We are on the lookout for a 3D Generalist to join our Production team as a full-time Contractor for 3-6 months (with probable extension). You will be responsible for creating intricate and visually stunning 3D assets using your skills as a modeler and texture artist to enhance the collectable experience for our users. Your role will involve translating concepts and ideas into captivating 3D designs that align with our brand and licensor guidelines. This role is remote, and can be based in New Zealand, Australia, USA or Canada (due to the requirement to have suitable time zone overlap with the rest of the team).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing high-quality 3D models that embody the creative vision and adhere to licensor guidelines.
  • Creating game ready high poly and low poly versions.
  • Creating UV maps and baking
  • Creating textures
  • Collaborating with the creative director, artists, designers, and animators to transform concepts into engaging and visually appealing 3D assets.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on 3D assets produced by external agencies, ensuring alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Learning from and being mentored by senior modelers and texture artists! You will get time to develop your skill sets alongside some really clever team mates.
  • Working on different projects from various licensors (Marvel, Disney, Pixar, DC etc.) all the time!

Your skills and expertise:

  • Demonstrated experience as a 3D modeler and texture artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of 3D assets.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing software such as Unity, Blender, Maya, ZBrush, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, anatomy, and proportion in 3D modeling and texturing.
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to licensor guidelines while infusing creativity and innovation into the assets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work within project schedules.
  • Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently with a team that works remote.
  • Prior experience in the digital collectables, gaming, or entertainment industry is a plus.
