We’re now looking for a part-time, People & Culture Manager to take our people strategy to the next level.

Who are we looking for?

An experienced People & Culture Partner interested in contributing to a growing scale-up on a part-time basis (50% FTE loading/ 2.5 days per week).

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of autonomously driving HR initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment for our growing, global team.

What the role will be responsible for

  • HR Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives in a global operating environment.
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment process to attract top talent, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Culture and Engagement: Drive initiatives that promote a positive company culture and high employee engagement.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, supporting managers to mediate any conflicts, and ensuring compliance with company policies across multiple regions.
  • Performance Management: Provide strategic advice and recommendations for implementing performance appraisal systems which support employee development and organizational growth.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and career progression.
  • HR Policies and Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations in business operating regions, and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures that align geographical differences.

What will working in this role be like?

  • Strategic Impact: You will be supported to implement HR strategies based on your experience supporting high performing teams. The role will be closely supported by the leadership team and given access to all teams/business functions to enable you to succeed.
  • Diverse Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will be varied and multifaceted, ranging from strategic HR planning to hands-on implementation. One day, you might be mediating a specific employee relations issue, and the next, developing a new talent acquisition strategy for a specific role/function, or designing sessions for an upcoming team onsite. This diversity keeps the role engaging and allows you to develop a broad skill set.
  • Keep Building on Strong Foundations: XY Sense already has a positive working culture and environment (with a team engagement score consistently >80%). This role will be critical in maturing our systems/processes as we scale our team globally - but it’s important we don’t lose sight of what already makes working at XY Sense great!
  • Flexible/Hybrid PT Work: Ideal for an experienced HR Business Partner looking to grow their experience in startup/high growth technology companies. Or, alternatively, an ideal role for a new parent looking for a role with growth potential and strategic autonomy but that’s not necessarily full-time. XY Sense supports hybrid/flexible work and the expectation for this role would be 1 -1.5 days in the office.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

We’re offering a competitive remuneration package aligned to your experience. We’re growing fast, so you can also expect an attractive ESOP package and a lot of upside (permanent employees only). But beyond the dollars, you can expect a team with a can-do attitude who don’t take themselves too seriously but take pride in their work and genuinely care for each other.
