ezyCollect is an Australian-founded B2B SaaS FinTech on a mission to eliminate late payments in the Food & Beverage, Wholesale Building Supplies and Education industry. Our invoice-to-payments subscription software complements accounting/ERP software (MYOB, Xero, NetSuite, SAP etc.) to automate the process of getting paid. Business  Development Representative

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team, preferably with experience working in a financial technology (fintech) company.

The role is essential to our business growth, focussed on identifying and nurturing potential clients for ezyCollect. 

You will be working closely with our business co-founders, and given coaching, sales training and tools to succeed. The business acumen and sales skills you will develop in this role will set you up for success.

The Role

  • Engage and foster interest in prospecting through calls, emails, and LinkedIn, effectively communicating the value proposition of ezyCollect
  • Identify and target potential clients and champions/decision-makers
  • Conduct extensive research to develop a deep understanding of prospects, including their business challenges and how ezyCollect’s solutions can address them 
  • Qualify leads by assessing their potential for conversion into sales opportunities
  • Schedule discovery calls or meetings between qualified leads and our sales team
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all prospect interactions and lead qualification activities in our CRM system (Hubspot)
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to refine outreach strategies based on market trends and response analysis
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and qualification
  • Attend training sessions to stay updated with product developments, sales techniques, and industry trends
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions with founders, marketing and product teams to drive process innovation, drawing from industry best practices and fostering a creative environment

The Role Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in sales, preferably in a finance or accounting technology business 
  • Proven track record of successful lead generation (including cold-calling experience) 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage, build rapport with and qualify prospects
  • A goal-oriented, proactive and resilient nature
  • Proficiency in using CRM software
  • Loves technology, business and sales
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong desire to learn and grow within fintech
  • Preferably with some business experience (e.g. Diploma, Bachelor's, running your own business, working in a small or medium-sized business)
  • Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in the office in Sydney CBD) work set-up
