About the Role

We are looking for a well rounded software engineer to join our cross-functional development team in Auckland, responsible for the development and maintenance of our Spidertrack platform. This is an agile build and run team that in addition to our applications and services, owns and looks after our deployment pipelines and manages our cloud infrastructure.

Beyond showcasing proficiency in coding, you'll leverage your expertise to champion best design and development practices within the team, and advocate for necessary technical enhancements to ensure the platform remains maintainable, scalable, and performant.

The successful candidate must possess the requisite developer experience across the full-stack domain.

What you'll need:

  • A minimum of 3 years developing and maintaining web-based applications and API services.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript\Javascript with a solid understanding of their principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of React\Redux or similar would be advantageous  
  • Experience with Java is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong grasp of cloud-based technologies, with a preference for AWS. Demonstrable expertise in crafting and enhancing deployment pipelines preferred but not required.
  • A strong sense of ownership of work
  • Desire to drive continuous improvement in the team's capabilities and processes, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey ideas and facilitate discussions across various stakeholders within the organisation.
  • Outstanding personal organisation and time management abilities, including the capacity to multitask effectively and meet project deadlines consistently.
  • Existing rights to work in NZ
