Hnry is looking for a web designer with a keen interest in web design to help take Hnry's marketing websites to the next level.
You’ll be part of a small-but-mighty team, who are responsible for creating new web pages and components, testing and optimising landing pages and content, and keeping up with accessibility and tax regulations - basically, they’re in charge of the strategic direction of the website that support's Hnry's meteoric growth across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
We're after someone with a passion for storytelling, who can take our users on a journey through the creativity and design of sales pages. You’ll need to enjoy a good challenge, be comfy getting your hands dirty, be able to work at pace, and change direction quickly if needed.
As part of a tight-knit team, you'll also need the ability to work well both collaboratively and independently to get the job done.
Responsibilities
- Structuring the Hnry website and its resources to enhance user experience and make our content more discoverable.
- Improving our site navigation to promote our most effective sales pages.
- Updating images and web components to align with our brand look-and-feel.
- Optimising the way we communicate the Hnry service and wider product offerings to our website visitors.
- Restructuring our homepage to create more visibility over new product features and our excellent customer resources.
- Adding all new content to the website and optimising it for SEO purposes.
- Maintain the website’s accessibility so it meets global standards.
- Ensuring all copy on the website reflects the Hnry tone and voice, and is up-to-date with any changes to tax legislation, regulations, etc.
- Setting up and running regimented A/B tests on digital marketing landing pages to improve conversion rate.
You will:
- Have experience developing websites with knowledge in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and GitHub.
- Have worked with a number of content management systems and can adapt accordingly.
- Have a willingness to learn and be able to pick up new skills quickly.
- Be goal-driven and eager to grow your career within a fast-moving company.
- Have strong attention to detail, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and strong numerical literacy.
- Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills — we work together and succeed as a team.
Bonus points for the following:
- Worked with Jekyll and/or Cloudcannon CMS.
- Experience being self-employed (freelancing, contracting, etc) in any industry/profession
- Graphic design skills with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Salary banding: $70,000 - $85,000 per annum (depending on previous experience).
